Professor Blanca Rodriguez’ team has pioneered the 'Digital Twin' vision in cardiology, as well as In Silico Trials in drug development. Her scientific interest is in innovating in medicine through a focus on human modelling and simulation powered by a large network of collaborators in academia, industry and regulatory agencies.
Innovation and collaboration with industry are at the core of Professor Rodriguez’ work. A central theme is validation of novel human-based methods for novel therapy development and testing, including the Virtual Assay software and human ventricular electrophysiology, electromechanical and Purkinje models.
